well, its been a huge week or so for me (brendan here... finally). Ive caught up with my old associate from the accounting firm i used to work for, and had a freaking ridiculous night out with the boys from uni whom i havent seen since early last year. and that was LAST weekend.

This weekend was a long weekend, in honour of my birthday obviously. Kate took the opportunity to steal me away to the Hunter Valley for three days of elegant wine tasting, amazing Australian scenery and top class aussie beers from the pub we stayed at both nights (the Bellbird hotel in Cessnock, for those interested).

we visited all our old favourite wineries, including Tyrells and Marsh Estate, both of which impressed, but also found a few new ones to admire, like Savannah Estate, which had an amazing old muskat which we just couldnt resist.

And wow, has it been a fortnight already? yes, well it was time for me to change jobs again. For those who came in late, i originally got a job at a local bottle shop, then left in favour of the local petrol station, and NOW i am heading back to the same bottle shop... as a manager. yes, turns out they liked me and my 'knowledge' of their products so much that they decided to lure me back with the offer of a better job on better pay. well, yeah, that would do it i guess.

we have been back in sydney for almost a month now, and we still dont really feel like we have our feet on the ground. cant wait to see what THIS week holds for us!
